RE: Labor Day Programming or the lack thereof

It is with utter disbelief that I write to you regarding your programming for Labor Day. I would like to take this opportunity to clarify a few things:
People who watch TCM are interested in...get ready..watching movies, OLD movies
People who watch TCM are less likely to be engaging in social activities on holidays and more likely to be..shocker here..watching movies, OLD movies
Documentaries are not movies, even if they are about movie making, they are not movies.
There is a channel that you seem to be unaware of called “The History Channel”. A channel devoted to history is a perfectly fine place to run over seven freaking hours of documentaries. A channel devoted to classic movies is not.
Labor Day is a holiday for dedicated to honoring the social and economic achievement of American workers.
There are many fine OLD movies that are in keeping with the spirit of the day. The Fountainhead, The Devil and Miss Jones, The Shop Around the Corner, etc.
Just because a movie features a “working girl”, that doesn’t means it is about girls who work.
Bill Hadler has no business hosting a classic film program. EVER! Seriously what were you thinking?
Bless you R.U. Kiddingme, you are a voice of sanity in a rather blah TCM programming fiasco. I totally agree with you! Old movies, or rather good old classic 'real' movies are the reason I spend my money on this channel and hope they straighten up and quit doing this kind of programming. Amen to you R.U. Kiddingme you are a saint.
