Pooh Bear
"When you wake up in the morning, Pooh,'said Piglet at last,'what's the first thing you say to yourself?"
"What's for breakfast?' said Pooh. "What do you say Piglet?"
"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?"said Piglet.
"Pooh nodded thoughtfully. "It's the same thing." he said."
A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh (1926)
I strive to find excitement in daily events, in mundane tasks. Some days things are easy to appreciate, the morning cup of coffee, the hot shower. Other days, I just can't seem to get out of my own head. Interestingly, my dogs have no trouble finding excitement in their daily events.
Perhaps I don't need to run across the lawn, yelling at people walking past. But it could be fun.
